ASHOKA offers a convenient combination of machining Heavy Fabrication Work Capacity under the same roof. It is carried out as per international welding procedures (WPS as per IS, BS, ASME) and material standards as per customer drawings and using special purpose modern welding equipment of various types including profiles cutters

SAW/ARC/MIG/TIG welding machines, bending and rolling machines, special holding and rotating equipment for efficient welding, surface treatment (shot/sand blasting), heat treatment etc. The same equipment is finish machined on imported floor and horizontal borers, vertical turret lathes, heavy duty turning lathes, floor drills, gear cutting hobbers etc.  ASHOKA Heavy Fabrication Work Capacity has a lifting and handling capacity of 75 MT single piece.

Heavy Fabrication Work Capacity Technical Features

Design and manufacture of single & double girder cranes is based on customer specific safety standards. Special design tools such as Autocad, Solidworks etc. are used to attain perfect fitment and enhanced theoretical analysis of the design.

The structure is fabricated from specified steel grades including IS 2062 / SA 516 etc. which are cut to accurate sizes and subject to proper heat treatment for release of stresses.

Gearboxes of special crane duty class with accurately hob cut gear internal which may be hardened and ground as per requirement and load.

Rope Drum are made up of seamless pipe accurately machine grooved and mounted on self-align ball bearings for smooth running. Rope guide is provided for proper winding of the rope in drum groove.

End Carriages are of robust construction, standardized according to design aspect which gives perfect alignments, parallelism and perpendicularity of the wheels.

Wheels are made from special alloy steels such as Chrome Molybdenum steels and are hardened to 40 HRc. Wheels are shrunk fit on their axles. The crane wheels are housed in a manner so that they can be easily replaced.

Brakes are of electro-hydraulic thruster brakes particularly for use in overhead traveling cranes located suitably. In traveling motions electromagnetic fail-to-safe shoe or disc type brakes are mounted directly on motors.

Limit Switches of snap action type roller switches are generally provided.
